I dream I dream, I dream a dream
I dream of a world that would seem
To lie beneath the one I walk
That through waking hours and sunlight's rays
Stalks my heart and pursues my days
Though I don't fear it
No I long to embrace
The inspiration for my dream
And her softly smiling face
I feel her touch
Glide across my skin in tender caress
But such is only the breeze
Only a dream
I confess
I see her every morn
Her shining golden hair
The deep sharp blue of her eyes
But there
Is yet another dream
For her beauty is mistaken
With that of the rising skies
And again I am torn
Back to the land that screams awaken
Back to the world that has taken
My beloved from me
And in her place
Given a dream that can't be
More then this intangible trace
More then...
Oh cruel reality
Return to me my dream
To again know the taste of her sweet kiss
Please I beg,
Let me dream of this
For a moment let me smell
Her delicate scent
On the pure night air
Let me abandon all care
And fill my hearts pounding core
With these simple dreams
Until I'm again with my love
And I need dream,
No more...
